Dangerous is adrenaline running through your veins. Dangerous is a lust for life. It takes a certain breed to live by its rules. It is surfing big waves, and drag racing cars through pedestrian streets. It is popping wheelies on motorcycles rushing down the highway. Dangerous is playing high-stakes basketball in the summer streets or holding court on the local street corner. For these thrill-seekers Friday night is fight night. They are excitable like Rottweiler’s and ready to party like Spring Breakers. Dangerous is risky, perilous, precarious. Dangerous is a lifestyle born in the USA.
Going to a club is more than a night out; it is an event. When they leave the party the party is over. These adrenaline junkies are not happy unless they are riding skateboards, jumping subway tracks or cruising the streets with their posse. You are likely to see them pimping their rides and treat it like a Bentley. Except it’s not a Bentley. It’s theirs.
If you are looking for them they can be found on the other side of the tracks. The side your parents said not to go on. They possess that unmistakable natural hard beauty. Designer clothes don’t fulfill their needs. They have a look and confidence that is unattainable by any ordinary person. Their armor is simple t-shirts and hoodie. They have nothing to prove to anyone.
Xbox is their haven when they’re not out on the town and “Grand Theft Auto” is their Doctor Seuss. They know smoking, drugs and drinking and courtship are Dangerous.
On any given day they can be found at a poker table, or racetrack or shooting pool in a bar. Though it has to be said they hey prefer shots out of the bottle. They don’t judge and won’t judge, it’s not in their make up. That is not what satisfies or worries them. But we often look down our noses and make assumptions towards them.
Dangerous is jet-skiers infuriating boaters. They are snowboarders who piss off the skiers. They are the girls sneaking out the back window when their mom’s are not looking. They are the guys you don’t bring home to meet dad.
They sit up late to watch UFC and will sleep through the afternoon tennis. The only club you’d find them joining is Fight Club – a club determined by some very basic rules. But you won’t hear them speak of it. If you do not understand, you are not dangerous. If you are Dangerous, you already know.
