Dangerous Calvin Klein Obsession Ads
Calvin Klein Obsession adds were considered very dangerous back in the day. Robert R Taylor was the creative genius behind the ads featuring Kate Moss half naked. Taylor bought Calvin Klein Cosmetics out of bankruptcy in 1980 and oversaw the launch of the Obsession fragrance in 1985. The tagline for the sexy ad campaign? “Between love and madness lies obsession.”
Calvin Klein advertising has been called everything from sexy to outrageous to borderline pornographic. Sam Shahid was the inhouse creative director in the early 1980’s. Robin burns was the president at Calvin Klein Cosmetics for most of the 1980’s
